Hunter/Jumper Training Program
Crystal Beatty Crystal Beatty was born into riding horses. She began official lessons at the age of 8 at an eventing barn and gravitated to the hunter/jumper discipline.
Learning the valuable lessons of horsemanship from the ground up, Crystal worked as a groom for John Ducharme at Stoney Hill, as well as at Betsy Roth’s Thoroughbred breeding farm. She has also ridden imported warmbloods for Bud Thoman of Almaden farms. Crystal has made a living buying horses off of the track, retraining and then selling them. She also has experience in starting horses and ponies under saddle. Crystal has shown on the A circuit under the instruction of Kerry Urqheart, Susan Crenshaw, and Penny Whaler. She has spent time in San Diego learning from American Grand Prix association rookie of the year Heather Fogarty. Currently, Crystal also works for Susan Crenshaw’s A Circuit barn, Ligara Farms in Morgan Hill. She has studied with George Morris, Greg Best, John French, Joe Fargis, and Linda Allen, among others. Crystal is passionate about what she does. Nothing is more rewarding for her than seeing her students go from feeling fear to winning champion ribbons.
